Product description

Sero recyclable aluminum candles and reusable wood containers arranged on a table

A new way to burn candles

Sero Candles are poured with soy-coconut wax and natural wood wicks in 100% recyclable aluminum - all designed to seat perfectly in our reusable wood container. Swap to change scents, recycle candles when they're finished, use the wood container forever.

Swap, refill, recycle

Lit Sero candle with crackling wood wick held in hand

Burn

Light the wood wick and let it crackle. Each 6.5 oz candle gives you 20 to 25 hours of burn time with a scent that's subtle yet present - there's nothing worse than an overpowering candle.

Swap

The container opens in two pieces, the finished candle lifts out, and a new one drops in. Swap scents with your mood or the season - you're not committed to anything until it's burned down.

Recycle

There are no paper labels, stickers, or glue on the cup - just laser-etched aluminum, so when the candle is done it recycles right in with your cans.

What we're made of. What we're not.

Every candle is poured with our soy-coconut wax blend: virgin coconut and soy waxes with a small amount of food-grade paraffin for a more stable, even burn and stronger scent throw. The wood wick sits in a welded aluminum clip, no adhesive. Fragrance oils are phthalate-free. No synthetic dyes. No lead. No paper labels or glue on the cup, so the aluminum stays clean for recycling. We publish the full ingredient list because we think you should know what you're burning.

From the brand

Sero Candles

Clean-burning coconut soy candles designed in Tacoma, WA - recyclable aluminum, reusable wood containers, nothing wasted.

How did Sero get started?

We kept ending up with empty candle jars - often beautiful, but with no real purpose, and they couldn't be recycled. It turns out most candle glass can't go in curbside recycling because of the type of glass used. So we designed a new way to burn candles: recycle the finished candle with your cans, and keep a beautiful reusable wood container instead.
What makes Sero candles different?

Every Sero candle is designed to waste nothing, from ingredients to packaging. The soy-coconut wax blend burns clean on a crackling wood wick, the laser-etched aluminum cup recycles with your cans - no labels, no glue - and our patent-pending wood container opens so a new scent can drop right in. Keep the container, swap the candle, throw nothing away.
How do we develop our scents?

We love figuring out what actually makes a cleaner, safer candle - testing waxes, wicks, and fragrance oils, and designing around what we learn. Every scent gets tested in sip sessions with friends before it earns a place in the lineup, and each one has to be subtle but present, because there's nothing worse than an overpowering candle.
